BUISNESS AND COMMERCE: 

  • Downtown Vernon Association - Board of Director's Liaison, Alternate (2021 - ) The DVA represents downtown Vernon stakeholders including; business professional services, restaurants, health/wellness, retail, and property owners. 


FINANCE:

  • Internal Finance Committee - Council Representative (2022 - )  The primary role of an Advisory Committee is to provide advice, recommendations and a community perspective on municipal initiatives and programs 


ENVIRONMENTAL:

  • Joint Biosolids Advisory Committee - Council Representative (2025 - )  The primary role of an Advisory Committee is to provide advice, recommendations and a community perspective on municipal initiatives and programs 


HEALTH

  • North Okanagan/Columbia Shuswap Regional Hospital District - Board of Directors (2022 - )  RHDs provide a portion of funding to Interior Health to build and renovate facilities and to purchase equipment. There are seven RHDs in the health authority. RHD boards are comprised of municipal and electoral area directors who are members of the regional district. RHDs vote on and approve the local share of funding for capital costs associated with the construction, acquisition and maintenance of facilities and equipment in the health region. 


REGIONAL: 

  • Regional District of the North Okanagan - Board of Directors (2022 - )  The RDNO functions as a partnership between municipalities and electoral areas, enabling cooperation throughout the region to provide essential services and enhance the quality of life for residents. 
  • Greater Vernon Advisory Committee - Council Representative (2018 - 2022) Alternate (2022 - )  The primary role of  GVAC is to provide advice, recommendations and a community perspective on municipal and regional initiatives and programs 


SENIORS: 

  • Vernon Seniors Action Network - Council Representative (2021 - 2023), Alternate (2025 - )  The Council delegate's role is to provide advice, recommendations and a municipal perspective on community initiatives and programs

ARTS AND CULTURE

  • Arts Council of the North Okanagan - Board of Director's Liaison, Alternate (2025 - )  The Arts Council of the North Okanagan is a registered charitable non-profit organization dedicated to enriching arts and culture in Greater Vernon and surrounding areas. 
  • Okanagan Film Commission - Regional Representative (2025 - )  The Okanagan Film Commission leads and nurtures the regional film and animation industry, connecting local and international producers and promoting the Okanagan Boundary and Similkameen area as a global cinematic hub. 


FINANCE:

  • Municipal Insurance Association of British Columbia - Regional Representative, Alternate (2021 - )  The Municipal Insurance Association of British Columbia (MIABC)  provides support that helps keep communities vibrant and alive, through stable liability and property insurance, outreach programs and expert advice.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING: 

  • Not for Profit Housing Action Team (2017 - )  The team consists of not for profits working towards increasing affordable housing supply through collaboration and resource sharing. One of the group's core focuses is to contribute towards achieving goals within the City of Vernon’s Housing Action Plan.  


ANTI-POVERTY: 

  • Camp Okanagan Outreach/Liaison Team (2010 - )  The team consists of the RCMP, Bylaw, Interior Health, Probation, Ministry of Housing and Social Development and not for profits working towards reducing the impacts of housing insecurity through collaboration and resource sharing. 


COMMUNITY SAFETY:

  • Harwood Block Watch (2015 - )
  • Partners in Action (2009 - )  The committee addresses crime prevention through social development (CPTSD). We work mainly in the areas of housing, homelessness, recreation, food security and neighbourhood capacity building but take on other topics as well. Our goal is to problem solve by bringing the right partners to the table and creating real change on a community level. There can be up to 15 to 20 action teams working at any given time and 50 to 60 different agencies, businesses and groups involved in the action teams. 


FOOD INSECURITY: 

  • Emergency Food Action Network (2014 - )  The team consists of faith groups and not for profits working towards reducing the impacts of food insecurity through collaboration and resource sharing. 


 YOUTH: 

  • North Okanagan Early Years Table (2018 - ) The committee consists of educators and not for profits working together to support young children and their parents. Members include Okanagan College, School District 22, BGC, Whitevalley Community Resource Centre, North Okanagan Neurological Association and Interior Health.
