Fairness. Fiscal Responsibility. Evidence-Based Leadership.
Fairness. Fiscal Responsibility. Evidence-Based Leadership.

For more than two decades, I have held leadership roles overseeing budgets, strategic planning, governance, housing initiatives, and community services throughout British Columbia.
Since being elected to Vernon City Council in 2018, I have brought that experience to local government, helping guide decisions on housing, infrastructure, recreation, transportation, financial stewardship, and long-term planning.
My goal has always been simple: make decisions that are fair, responsible, and in the best interests of the entire community.

In addition to my work on Vernon City Council, I have represented residents through my work on several city-appointed committees:
These roles work closely with community stakeholders to find solutions to local and regional issues affecting education, infrastructure, housing, transportation, the environment, and economic development.

Municipal challenges rarely stop at municipal boundaries.
In addition to serving on Vernon City Council, I have represented residents through my work with:
These roles help ensure Vernon has a strong voice in regional decisions affecting healthcare, infrastructure, housing, transportation, water, the environment and economic development.

I hold a Graduate Diploma in Management and am currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA), strengthening my expertise in strategic management, organizational leadership, and governance.
Outside of Council, I have spent my career working in the construction/site development and health sectors and, over the past 18 years, in leadership positions within the non-profit sector.
My professional experience includes governance, strategic planning, financial management, asset management, housing, community development, and social services. This background has provided practical experience managing budgets, building partnerships, addressing complex challenges, and leading organizations through change.
These experiences continue to shape my approach to public service and community leadership.

Every decision I make is guided by three core principles.
Local government works best when every resident feels represented. My responsibility is not to represent only the loudest voices or the most organized groups, but to consider the interests of the community as a whole.
Residents work hard for their money and expect Council to manage public resources carefully. I believe in responsible budgeting, strategic investments, and ensuring taxpayers receive value from every dollar spent.
Complex issues require thoughtful solutions. I believe decisions should be informed by facts, expert advice, community input, and long-term planning rather than assumptions or political rhetoric.

Throughout my time on Council, I have helped advance initiatives that support Vernon's long-term success, including housing, recreation, transportation, climate resilience, and regional partnerships.
These accomplishments reflect the collaborative work of Council, staff, community organizations, and residents working together toward common goals.
